Bella Guthrie and Susie Douglas show off their gold medals
Susie Douglas won her sixth State title when she took out the under 20 years women’s 400m hurdles on the final day of competition at the NSW Junior Championships at SOPAC.
Susie was the defending champion and was never in danger of defeat.
Bella Guthrie also struck gold, taking out the under 18 years girls 400m hurdles in the race straight after Susie’s.
And Jessie Wong almost made it a hat-trick when she was narrowly beaten in the under 17 years girls 400m hurdles.
Nicolette Donofrio won her second medal of the championships taking out the bronze medal in the under 20 years women’s 200m.
Jess MacIver (under 18 years girls), Nick Dowling (under 18 years boys) and Pascale La Hei (under 20 years women) all ran personal best times in their heats of the 200m.
