Jessie, Maya through to CHS State titles

Two young athletes who do their hurdles training with the Ron Bendall squad excelled in recent Combined High Schools area competitions.

Jessie Wong, competing in the Metropolitan West Area Championships, broke the area record for the 15 years 200m hurdles and won the 90m hurdles in personal best time.

She also took out the the 200m, long jump and triple jump.

Competing in the Western NSW Area Championships, Maya Piras won the 200m and helped Dubbo Central to victory in the 4x100m relay. She was also a close second in the 100m.

As well as the 100m and 200m, Maya will also contest the 100m hurdles at the Combined High Schools NSW Championships next month.
