Medals and PBs aplenty despite wind and rain

Despite competing in atrocious weather conditions at the NSW Little Athletics State Championships at SOPAC on the weekend, Ron Bendall squad athletes:

  • Won eight medals (two gold, three silver and three bronze);
  • Made 12 finals;
  • Ran six PBs.

Gold medal winners were:

  • Nicolette Donofrio (Northern Suburbs), 15 years girls 100m, senior girls 4x100m relay;
  • Alanna Fisher (Northern Suburbs), senior girls 4x100m relay.

Silver medal winners were:

  • Maya Piras (Dubbo), 14 years girls 80m hurdles;
  • Steph Potter (Balmain) 15 years girls 100m;
  • Nicolette Donofrio 15 years girls 90m hurdles;

Bronze medalists were:

  • Jason Ho (Northern Suburbs) 13 years boys 100m;
  • Steph Potter 15 years girls 200m, senior girls relay.

Other finalists were:

  • Jason Ho fourth 13 years boys 200m;
  • Nicolette Donofrio fourth 15 years girls 200m;
  • Susie Douglas (Balmain) fifth 17 years girls 300m hurdles, sixth 100m hurdles.

PBs were:

  • Alanna Fisher 17 years girls 400m;
  • Susie Douglas 300m hurdles, 100m hurdles;
  • Steph Potter 200m;
  • Jason Ho 200m;
  • Maya Piras 80m hurdles.
